Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has taken some crucial measures to facilitate consumers in getting new electricity connections quickly. For the provision of the facilitation to consumers at their door steps, the company is holding Open Katcheries by the field officers for redresal of consumers' complaints.
According to a spokesman of the company, Pesco provided 36,136 new connections to domestic, commercial, industrial and irrigation consumers in all Pesco circles through out the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa during the last one quarter of the financial year. In Peshawar, the company has new connections to 4,297 consumers, KP 5,836, Mardan 6,039, Swat 10,092, Bannu 4,711, Hazara 5,159.
Chief Executive Pesco, Tariq Saddozai appealed to the customers to install meters and use electricity legally to avoid system over loading and provision of stable power supply to customers. Installation of meters and removal of direct hooks will not only increase Pesco revenue, but will also made the supply more stable and smooth.
