The Swiss franc tracked the euro higher against the dollar on Monday as traders trimmed dollar positions on rising hopes US Congressional leaders can stave off the automatic budget cuts that would be triggered by the so-called fiscal cliff. The franc was 0.1 percent higher against the dollar compared to Friday's New York close, trading at 0.9438 francs per dollar at 0738 GMT. The franc fell 0.1 percent against the euro, to 1.2053 francs per euro.
