The Governor said that in order to reduce maternal and new born mortality rates, we had to focus on evidence based interventions which could slow down the momentum of high maternal and new-born mortality rates at first as a short term strategy and reverse the scenario in longer term. He said that problems in Fata are very complex as compared to the rest of the country but the security situation in different parts of Fata was just improving.
