Ittehad Tanzeemat Madaris Pakistan (ITMP) on Friday observed the condemnation day across the country as a protest against the killing of innocent students of religious seminaries, surprise raids on the religious institutions and harassment of teaching staff as well as students.
Qari Muhammad Hanif Jhulandari, secretary general of ITMP said, "We would not let anyone to harass the teachers and students of religious seminaries in the guise of security." He asked who is killer of students of Deeni Madaris in Karachi. He said that government would have to change its policies and mindset against Ulema and religious institutions otherwise three million students would be on roads to protect their career. He said that religious institutions were providing education to three million children besides boarding and lodging facilities free of cost. They were also paying millions of rupees to teaching staff as salaries.
