Australia take Super Series Hockey title; Pakistan beat India to secure third place

Australia won the final of Super Series Hockey Tournament by beating England while Pakistan secured third place after defeating India at Perth on Sunday. According to a private news channel, Australia defeated England by 5-2 in the final while Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 4-1 in a match played for third place.
In Pak-India match, Muhammad Waqas scored twice for Pakistan leading by 2-1 till half-time. Another short corner conversion extended Pakistan's lead in the 17th minute as Fareed Ahmed was left with a simple tap-in at the far post, before Waqas's powerful strike in the 20th minute to ensure Pakistan's victory. India scored their only goal through Rajpal Singh with just 10 seconds left in the first half.
