The Karachi Port handled 2,040 tonnes of cargo during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo comprised 2,040 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. No ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. There are two vessels viz Ginga Kite and BBC Florida with one oil tanker and one general cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths.
There are three ships namely MOL Direction, Nyack Princess and BBC Florida with one container ship, one urea carrier and one general cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea on Monday, while three ships namely Hyundai Colombo, TS Qingdao and Ginga Kite carrying two container ships and one oil tanker respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday.
There are two vessels viz Hanjin Monaco and CSC Risingsun with one container ship and one mogas carrier respectively due to arrive on Monday, while four vessels viz Kota Ganteng, Pardis, Royal Peridot and Sea Coral with two container ships, one chemical carrier and one general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday. There are five ships namely Ever Result, APL Brisbane, MT Karachi, MT Quetta and Oriental Freesia carrying two container ships, two crude oil tankers and one ethanol tanker respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.
A total number of four vessels viz CV MSC Reunion, Genius Star-II, MV Thor Independence and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice and diesel oil respectively during the last 24 hours. As many as two ships namely Maersk Carolina and Al-Soor-II with containers and diesel oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. A container vessel viz CV Maersk Carolina is expected to take berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Monday.
