Anti Extremist Cell (AEC) of Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday claimed to have nabbed four alleged felons including three members of banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and a target killer during raid at Saeedabad area.
According to official sources, AEC team headed by SSP Chaudry Aslam on a tipoff conducted raid near 24-market, Saeedabad and detained four alleged felons with weapons. The detained persons were identified as Abdul Jabbar alias Aga, Arif Nawaz, Raees Khan Ismail and Musheer Ahmad.
They said accused Musheer Ahmad during initial course of investigation confessed to have murdered some eight persons on political ground in ongoing spree of targeted killings, while rest of the other detained persons admitted their association with banned outfit TTP. They said accused Musheer was a worker of one of the political parties, while others were the members of outlawed TTP and used to provide financial assistance to their organisation through extortion and kidnapping. Further investigation was underway.
