Speaker Balochistan Assembly Sardar Aslam Khan Bhootani has once again refused to chair the Provincial Assembly (PA) session intensifying the constitutional crisis further.
In interaction with media persons, Sardar Aslam Khan Bhootani was of the view that convening an assembly session was contingent upon Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani's constitutional status, which should be determined without delay in the light of Supreme Court's interim order in Balochistan law and order case.
It is worth mentioning here that it was not the first time Bhootani had distanced himself from a session.
Reiterating his earlier viewpoint, he said, he firmly believed that summoning an assembly session on the advice of CM Raisani, in the wake of SC order, would be tantamount to contempt of court, which he would never like to happen.
