A Memoran-dum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine at the Ukraine Embassy to enhance trade and investment between the business community of both the countries.
According to the details of the MoU released by the RCCI here on Sunday, President RCCI Manzar Khurshid Sheikh was representing Rawalpindi Chamber while the Ambassador of Ukraine to Pakistan Volodymyr Lakomov on the behalf of Kyiv Chamber signed the MoU. Senior Vice President Pervaiz Ahmed Warriach, Vice President Nadeem Rauf, Executive Members Dr. Shimail Daud and Aqil Obaid were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Ambassador Volodymyr Lakomov said that Pakistan was a land of opportunities for investment and his country was keen to enhance trade relations with Pakistan, He said that Rawalpindi Chamber was making all out efforts to promote business activities within and outside the country to strengthen the national economy. He further said that business community of both sides can play a pivotal role for the endorsement of bilateral trade relations and Ukrainian business community was eager to extend trade relations with Pakistan. "Today's MoU signing ceremony is the first step of beginning of new era of co-operation between the businessmen of both sides," he added. Ambassador said that his country will also support RCCI in organising single county Exhibition in Ukrain.
Speaking on the occasion President RCCI Manzar Khurshid said that this MoU will affect positively for the promotion of trade ties between two countries. He said that Rawalpindi Chamber was planning to organise a single country Expo in Ukraine to promote mutual interest.-PR
