Samsung’s older flagships to get Android Oreo update soon
Some of Samsung’s older smartphones will soon receive its latest Android Oreo update, according to recent reports.
The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, released its Android Oreo 8.0 to previous models of its S-series including Galaxy S8 and S8+, with an update yet to come to its Note 8. Now, Samsung Turkey announced the planned release dates when the newest Android Oreo will be released for Note 8 and other premium models launched earlier.

Samsung is operating a Turkish website ‘Güncelmiyiz’ (translated as ‘Are we up to date?’), which revealed that the Galaxy note 8 will get its update on March 30, along with few other devices. These include Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, which will get its update on April 13, Galaxy Tab S3 (9.7, LTE), which will get its update on May 24, and Galaxy A7 (2017), A5 (2017), A3 (2017) that will get its update on May 25, reported GSM Arena.
Moreover, these particular dates have been specified for Turkey and few European countries, while the release dates for other countries might differ too. Samsung’s newly launched flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+, which are all set to hit stores on March 16, already feature Android Oreo, reported Tech Juice.
