Islamabad’s virtual driving school to train beginners without going on roads
With artificial technology developing globally, Pakistan made sure not to be left behind as its traffic police department recently introduced a virtual driving training institute.
Traffic police department of Pakistan’s capital Islamabad is continuously developing itself with growing technology. With e-challan system and QR-based parking solution introduced previously, Islamabad’s Traffic Police (ITP) launched a ‘Virtual Driving Training Institute’ in the city for assisting starters to drive in real-life situation made by 3D technology.
According to Tech Juice, the virtual driving training simulators will generate real-life situations including heavy traffic, jammed up roads, traffic hazards and such other scenarios to properly train the newbie drivers before actually driving on roads.
Reports suggest that the ITP has already installed 10 virtual driving training simulators in the area of Faizabad. The simulator contains a seat, steering wheel, brake, accelerator, clutch pedals, and few other required equipment, totally replicating a real vehicle. There are three screens in front of the setup to project the digitally generated driving scenario.
Furthermore, IG Islamabad Police, Sultan Azam Taimuri, himself checked the driving simulators. While practicing, the trainees will also be supervised by the ITP officials. This initiative will prove beneficial for beginners who fear driving out on roads.
