The two-day 21st Pak-US Defence Consultative Group (DCG) meeting commenced here on Monday to focus on Regional Security environment and challenges faced alongside Pak-Afghan border. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Defence, will also review Defence Co-operation between the two countries and progress on previous DCG meetings.
25-member US delegation is led by Under Secretary of Defence for Policy USA, Dr James Miller along side US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson, said a press release issued here. The two dignitaries called on Secretary Defence, Lieutenant General Asif Yasin Malik (Retd) here in his office before the start of formal meeting. The delegation will wrap up meeting on December 4 (today) and finalise a schedule for future meetings before departing for USA.
