The prices of most essential kitchen items remained stable last week against rates in the preceding week, shows a survey conducted by Business Recorder on Saturday.
The survey noted that vegetables prices remained unchanged during last week against the preceding week, as tomatoes were available at Rs 60 per kg, onions were being sold at Rs 55 per kg, potatoes were available at Rs 45 per kg, cabbage at Rs 40 per kg, cucumber was being sold at Rs 60 per kg, carrot at Rs 50 per kg, peas were being sold at Rs 70 per kg, radish at Rs 45 per kg and green-chili at Rs 80 per kg during last week as compared to the preceding week.
No significant change was noted in fruit prices during last week as compared to the preceding week, as apples were available at Rs 100-200 per kg, bananas were being sold at Rs 80-110 per dozen, grapes at Rs 200-250 per kg and oranges were available at Rs 100-140 per dozen during the last week as compared to the preceding week.
Meat prices remained stable during last week as compared to the preceding week, as mutton was available at Rs 560 per kg, and beef at Rs 360 per kg and chicken was available at Rs 135-140 per kg. The survey noted that eggs prices remained unchanged during the last week as compared to the proceeding week and was available at Rs 110 per dozen.
The survey also noted that rice prices remained stable last week as compared to the preceding week as colonel rice was available at Rs 140 per kg, while broken rice was at Rs 90 per kg Meanwhile, prices of entire range of pulses remained stable last week as compared to the preceding week as dal mash was available at Rs 150, Moong at Rs 140 per kg, Lobia at Rs 150 per kg, Masoor at Rs 120 per kg, Channa at Rs 110per kg and white Channa at Rs 120-160 per kg during the last week as compared to the preceding week.
