Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed and Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mir Waiz Umer Farooq have again called for resolution of Kashmir dispute according to UN resolution and said lasting peace in South Asia would remain a dream till the decades old dispute was not resolved.
Addressing a public meeting at Refugees Camp at Ambore here on Sunday, they said Kashmiris have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the freedom of Kashmir and the way was not far away when they would see the dawn of freedom from Indian yoke.
The AJK Prime Minister said steps are being taken for the resolution of refugees basic problems on priority basis. He told them that they were not refugees but living in their own homes.
Speaking on the occasion Mir Waiz Umer Farooq said they were not against trade between India and Pakistan but wanted representation of Kashmiris in Pak-India dialogue. He said without making Kashmiris a party in the dialogue, the problem cannot be resolved. He said the Kashmiris have given blood of their elders and youths for freedom.
Mir Waiz also emphasised the need for providing opportunities to the Kashmiris on both sides of the LoC to meet each other freely. He said Kashmir issue was a human issue first and then political. He appealed the international community to pressurise India to give Kashmiris their birth right and withdraw the occupation force from Kashmir which is involved in all sorts of human rights violations.
Addressing the meeting Bilal Ghani Lone said no solution can be imposed by force on Kashmiris without knowing their view point. He vowed to continue struggle till the attainment of freedom for the Kashmiris.
Earlier, the APHC Chairman and members of his delegation held talks with President Sardar Mohammad Yaqub Khan and Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed. Both sides said that Kashmiris on both sides of the LoC were one and their hearts beat together and artificial lines borders cannot divide them.
The APHC delegation thanked the people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir for the warm welcome accorded to them and said the visits would further strengthen their resolve for the cause of Kashmir.
