Mysterious sea creature found dead on Australian shore
An enormous mysterious dead fish weighing around 150 kilograms was found lying on a beach in Southern Queensland, Australia.
While enjoying an afternoon stroll through Moore Park Beach, John and his wife Riley Lindholm spotted the dead creature on the beach side. “I have never seen a fish that big before, let alone one that big wash up on the beach,” John told the Bundaberg News Mail.
Although John, a chartered skipper, is familiar with fishes, he too was unable to identify the specimen. “I have seen a lot of fish and a lot of big fish, but I have never seen anything like it,” he told ABC News.

According to Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol District Officer Geoffrey Fergusson, the fish appears to be a Queensland Groper. However, the cause of death remains unknown, Fergusson added.
Catching and taking hold of the Queensland Groper is strictly prohibited.
A similar sea creature was spotted dead in Indonesia on a beach last year in May. It was later identified as a baleen whale.
