National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central foiled an attempt of dacoity, recovered stolen animals and returned rupee 0.5 million to a fainted person during last couple of days. In details a 70 years' old man, Muhammad Ali, fell fainted on the road near Thokar, Lahore.
The officers of Central Zone took care of the old man and provided him first aid. Rupee 0.5 million were found from inside pocket of the old man. The officers also contacted the son of the old man and returned money to him. In another incident the officers of Central Zone arrested two culprits naming Saddique R/o Multan and Shamshad R/o Bahawalpur and recovered three stolen buffaloes from their possession. Similarly, the officers of Central Zone foiled an attempt of dacoity near Sahiwal when seven armed dacoits tried to loot a passenger bus. The driver of the bus used dipper when he saw patrolling vehicle of Motorway police.
The officers got the clue and took a sharp turn to chase the suspected bus. When the dacoits saw the officers of Motorway Police chasing them, they stopped the bus and fled the scene by taking advantage of the darkness of night. On the directions of DIG N-5 Central Rai Altaf Hussain the arrested persons along with recovered items were handed over to local police for further legal action.
