The PPP led Federal Government fully shared the grief of the assassination of ANP's stalwart Bashir Ahmad Bilour with their coalition partner ANP in condolence with the Party leadership and Federal Minister for Railways, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, the elder brother of the martyred senior minister, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
In this connection, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf telephoned Governor, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar, to meet Federal Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and expressed condolences with him on the death of his brother on his behalf. The Governor visited the residence of the Federal Minister, where he condolences to the martyrdom of Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour on behalf of President, Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The governor remained for some time with Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and other members of the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Talking to media, the Governor on behalf of the people of FATA expressed deep grief and sorrow over the incident and that despite the loss of the lives of thousands of security forces personnel and civilians, terrorism did not demoralised them as nation rather their morale has been risen.
He said that the incident has grieved the coalition government, political leaders and political workers, saying that beside a good human, Shaheed Bashir Ahmad Bilour was also a good political worker. He said that the martyrdom of Bashir Bilour grieved all.
The former provincial president, PPP, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Provincial Minister for Health, Syed Zahir Ali Shah strongly condemned suicide attack and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour in it. He said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has been deprived of a brave and straightforward politician. He said that the sacrifices of Pakhtun nation will not go in waste and terrorists will be defeated. In his condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and courage for bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Deputy Secretary-General, PPP, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Zahir Shah Toru also strongly condemned suicide attack on Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour and termed his death a great national tragedy. He said that with his death, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa lost a brave and straightforward politician, saying his sacrifices for the national salvation will be written in golden words of the history.
He said that the deceased was not frightened and courageous leader and was an effective voice against terrorists. He strongly condemned suicide attack, which beside the senior minister also claimed the lives of his personal secretary, SHO Sattar Khan. He prayed for the eternal peace of the martyrs and early recovery of the injured.
