Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is endeavouring to hold fair and transparent elections.
Addressing a news conference in Bahawalpur on Sunday he said elections would be held on time and there is no reason to postpone them.
He said if the elections were postponed it would be big misfortune for us. He said due to the law and order situation we do not like to run away from the polls. He said where there are wars in some countries‚ but the elections are being conducted in time. He said in each era of elections PPP was victimised of vote rigging‚ otherwise no one would defeat it in the next elections.
Yousuf Raza Gilani said that there are some people who do not like creation of new provinces.
Referring to the martyrdom of ANP leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour‚ Gilani termed it the assassination of the whole humanity.
