The Directorate General of Trade Organisation is working under Federal Ministry of Commerce which regulates and issues licenses to different trade associations and regional chambers under the umbrella of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry which is an apex body of trade community of entire private sector of Pakistan and all trade associations & regional chambers are supposed to be members of this body responsible for uplifting standards and activities in their respective regions and sectors, whereas on governmental level provinces and districts are required to offer administrative support for better management.
All the dealings of districts and provinces with foreign countries must be routed through Ministry of Foreign Affairs as such the trade activities of every sector must be routed through Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is very unfortunate that our regional Karachi Chamber is directly dealing with Confederation of Indian Industries and has arranged exhibition in Karachi without getting any patronage of FPCCI, Faisalabad Chamber has announced that it will organise a "Made in Faisalabad" exhibition.
