Karachi Transport Action Committee urges the concerned government authorities to take immediate notice of frequent increase in the cost of liquid petroleum gas (LPG).
Mohammad Ashraf Banglori, President of the Committee and its other office-bearers including Chaudhri Mazhar Hussain, Tanzim Khan and Nazeer Banglori in a joint statement on Sunday also urged the authorities to regulate price mechanism of the essential fuel.
Rickshaw drivers and other transporters using LPG and providing people a cost-effective mode of transportation must be protected against high handedness of LPG producers and market dealers, they said.
"There is urgent need to abolish the monopoly of the people with vested interests," said the transporters.
