On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the Emperor's Birthday and the National Day of Japan, I wish to express my sincere greetings to the Imperial family and the people of Japan. Under His Majesty's able guidance, Japan has become an icon of technological leadership, civilizational excellence, peace and harmony. Japan has been at the forefront of noble initiatives of promoting socio-economic development across the globe.
Pakistan and Japan enjoy strong friendship that is rooted in mutual trust, sincerity and respect. Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations in 1952, Japan has always been a strong development partner of Pakistan. Japanese socio-economic and infrastructure projects in Pakistan have greatly contributed in improving the quality of life of common Pakistanis.
The people of Pakistan deeply value their friendship with the friendly people of Japan. As good friends, both countries have always stood by each other in the time of need, particularly during national calamities.
As I assume my responsibilities as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, I will make my utmost efforts to further strengthen the existing friendly relations in diverse fields. In this regard, I will be guided by the vision enumerated in the Joint Statement signed by the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Japan in February 2011.
