It gives me great pleasure to felicitate and express my heartfelt feelings to His Majesty, the Emperor Akihito on his 79th birthday and also to the people of Japan who have nurtured with care the tradition of monarchy for thousands of years.
There is a natural love and goodwill between people of Pakistan and Japan, and they have stood by each other in testing times. This year is special, being the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
PakistanJapan Business Forum which was formed in 2001 with active patronage of the Ambassador of Japan and the Consul General of Japan, has been carrying out a B2B Dialogue in conjunction with a G2G dialogue every second year.
PJBF is also promoting business links between Japanese SMEs and Pakistani medium sized companies. It is preparing a business delegation of pharmaceutical companies which will shortly go to Japan. It has also begun a dialogue in sports and surgical sector.
PJBF also arranges transfer of Japanese management know-how through Japanese trainers in Pakistan as well special courses for Pakistanis in Japan.
We in PJBF will continue to endeavour to live up to our vision:
"facilitate, encourage, promote business and friendly relationship between the industrial and business communities of Pakistan & Japan" I pray for their Majesties long life and greater friendship between the people of the two countries.
