Chairman Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) Dr Suleman Shaikh has urged upon the members of his organisations, philanthropists and opinion leaders of the society to come forward and patronise the academic institutions for having standard education in Sindh.
He said the SGA was striving hard to promote the education especially among the less-privileged people by establishing Roshan Tara Schools and even was adopting government schools to run the same for satisfactory output. This he said while addressing annual gathering of Sindh Graduates Association held at Hyderabad last night.
Shaikh said in this era of confrontation, terrorism and selfishness, people of Sindh had lost a lot, adding that education and awareness among the masses was the only way to bring the people on the path of peace and prosperity. He said the SGA had adopted the Public School Gadap Karachi and hopefully it was to be developed and converted into result-oriented school.
Condemning the terrorist activities, SGA Chairman Dr Suleman Shaikh stressed for undertaking joint efforts to control the situation. Lauding the celebrations of Culture Day, Dr Shaikh said it was good omen and it would be proved a source of love and affection with each other without any discrimination. He said since the world had been converted into global village and competition had been at our door, "we must have to prepare ourselves to meet the challenges of future."
He said education in scientific, latest technology in information technology had become now essential for young generation. He advised the members of SGA to take part in rescue and relief activities at times when the poor people were displaced in addition to education, "We can help the deserving people in the field of health, justice and relief."
