The trade and industry hail the conferment of Nishan-e-Imtiaz on Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, by President Asif Zardari for his public service.
Patron In-Chief Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), S M Muneer, Chairman Mohammad Zubair Chhaya, President All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain and Vice Chairmen Najmul Arfeen and Niaz Ahmed said that Dr Ishrat is well deserved for the award due to his longest service as governor in the province and for his contributions towards the diverse sectors such as foreign investment, infrastructure development, law and order, education, interfaith harmony and relief activities.
They said in a statement that Dr Ishrat during his tenure has done a lot for development of Sindh particularly Karachi's infrastructure in terms of networks of roads, flyovers, bridges, underpasses, water supply schemes besides providing support facilities from his office. They further pointed out that Sindh witnessed a phenomenal infrastructural growth during Ebad's governorship.
They pointed out that Dr Ishrat has played a vital role to exempt industry from load shedding. He made strenuous efforts in oil and gas investment and exploration in the province. They said that Governor Sindh is also playing an effective role in bringing stability in law-and-order situation in Karachi.-PR
