Zia-ul Haq Sarhadi has been elected President of Abasin Column Writers Association for the period of 2013-14 while Hameed Khattak as general secretary. The elections were held General Body Meeting at Iranian Cultural Centre, Peshawar a large number of column writers attended. The general body unanimously elected cabinet for the next two years.
Those who elected were included Zia-ul Haq, President, Abdullah Sani advocate (Patron-in-Chief), Saleem Raz (Patron), Nayyar Sarhadi (SVP), Hameed Khattak (General Secretary), Abid Akhtar Hassan (Joint Secretary), Wasim Shah, Fahmid Butt (VPs), while Arshad Dar and Khan Said Gulzar were elected press and finance secretary respectively.
