Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah and Federal Minister for Defence, Syed Naveed Qamar on Sunday afternoon visited Bilour House where they condoled with the Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour over the sad demise of their brother Bashir Ahmed Bilour Shaheed.
They also expressed their deep condolences with Barrister Haroon Bilour and Usman Bilour over the tragic assassination of their father Bashir Ahmed Bilour in a suicide blast at Dhaki Nalbandi Qisakhwani bazaar Peshawar.
They offered Fateha for eternal peace of the departed soul and prayed Allah Almighty to grant courage to members of the bereaved family to bear this loss with patience and equanimity.
Later, talking to reporters, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah said Bashir Ahmed Bilour was a brave politician who laid down his life for a cause. He said the sacrifice of the Shaheed would not go waste and will be remembered for long. In the past, he said, we had witnessed that people, who were on the right path had emerged victorious in their struggle by attaining world-wide recognition and endless love of people.
He said Benazir Bhutto Shaheed is one those leaders who had laid down her life but never compromise on the rights of people and democracy and lived for people and died for them.
To a question, Khurshid Shah said positive and constructive criticism was the real beauty of democracy and expressed optimism that the proposed long march announced by Dr Tahirul Qadari would remain peaceful. He said no hurdles would be created in the peaceful march.
He said political parties were mobilising people for election which would held on time. He said caretaker set-up would be formed with consensus.
