A Bangkok taxi driver on Sunday returned a bag with 3 million baht (100,000 dollars) in cash to the Brink's security company, news reports said. Pongsin Jirakulthavornpatthe said he ran over the cash early Sunday and alerted an army-run radio station to help find its owner, the Bangkok Post reported.
Brink's (Thailand) Ltd security staff on a cash-in-transit truck had earlier alerted police that they had lost one of 27 money bags while delivering money to ATM machines of Siam Commercial Bank.
Tossaporn Rewnak, the team leader, said they had failed to lock the back door of the truck, and one of the bags had apparently fallen out. Pongsin said he used to work as a bank employee so he knew right away that the money was supposed to be transported to cash dispensers.
