The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday suspended transfer order of a Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) Superintendent Engineer (SE) and sought reply from authorities concerned. The court issued this order in a petition filed by Mujahid Islam, a SE at Lesco, deferred hearing for a date to be fixed by LHC office.
He launched a campaign against electricity theft and had taken prompt action against them, but he had been transferred to Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco) the petitioner added. The petitioner pointed out that under the company rules and regulation a SE could not be transferred from Lesco to Pepco.
