The Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) is launching its well-researched Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2012 on the January 21, explaining the learning indicators of 5 to 16 years aged children living in rural areas of all 135 districts in the country. According to the press statement the ASER team comprising over 9000 volunteers has also gathered information about 3 to 5 years aged children, whether they are in schools or drop-outs or never enrolled.
In order to disseminate the report and its contents to all stakeholders including ITA partners, government officials, research organisation and community at large, the ITA is organising a five-day ASER Associate Training programme 2012 at its offices from Tuesday (today). Around 50 ASER district co-ordinators and selected volunteers are participating in the training programme. The training programme will be addressed by National Commission for Human Development Director-General Khusro Parvez, University of Oxford's 'Outcomes of Education' project Research Officer, Dr Monazza Aslam, PEAS Dr Nasir Mahmood and TV anchor Fahad Hussain.
