FAISALABAD: An Agriculture experts have advised growers to start cultivation of cotton crop after mid April and if sown before this period the plant is prone to severe pests attacks.
A spokesman of Agriculture department said here Monday that the government imposed ban on cultivation of cotton before April one in Faisalabad and other parts of the province.
The farmers should start cultivation of cotton after April 15 and use hybrid approved varieties if they want to get maximum yield and financial benefits, spokesman informed.
The approved varieties are--CIM-496, CIM-506, CIM-554, CIM-573, MNH-786, CRSM-38, PH-167, FH-942, NIAB-852, NIAB-777, NIAB-846, SLH-317, etc.
