Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday said that Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in men and material in its fight against the terrorism. This was stated by the Prime Minister while talking to Ambassadors designate to Jordan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius, Lieutenant General Ahsan Azhar Hayat (Retd), Major General Qasim Qureshi (Retd) and Major General Ulfat Hussain Shah (Retd), who called on him Saturday.
During the meeting the Prime Minister urged the envoys that they should increase rapport and interaction with the local Pakistani Community in their counties of assignment to keep themselves abreast with their problems and assist them in resolving them wherever possible.
Prime Minister said that Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in men and material in its fight against the terrorism, yet these have not been properly projected. He directed the envoys to interact with local media and apprise them about the Pakistan's role in the global war against terror. Whishing them well in their assignments, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that they would utilise their expertise, knowledge and experience for improving the existing ties between Pakistan and the countries of their respective accreditation.
