Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Balitistan Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has said that the Kashmir dispute is the root cause of tension between Pakistan and India and it should be resolved as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Addressing a news conference here on Monday‚ he said Pakistan wants resolution of the problem through peaceful means.
To a question he said the government has used all available opportunities to highlight the cause of Kashmir in each world forum. The minister rejected reports regarding Federal government plans to use funds of Azad Kashmir in the next general elections.
