The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will likely to take up Thursday the matter related to the alleged violation of the commission's directive about banning all kinds of government recruitments at federal and provincial level, sources said.
The Election Commission took a serious view of the violation of its Directive dated 22nd January, 2013 which ruled out all kinds of recruitments in any ministry, division, department or institution of the federal government or any department or institution of any provincial and local governments is banned forthwith except recruitments by the Federal or a Provincial Public Service Commission.
The commission directed the Secretary Cabinet Division and provincial governments on January 30th to offer comments till Wednesday (February 6) in this regard and place the same before the commission meeting on Thursday. Sources said so far there were no comments from the Secretary Cabinet or provincial governments. Former ECP Secretary Kanwar Dilshad said not only the ECP but the caretaker government might also take notice of the transfers, postings and promotions of bureaucrats and any action in this regard may be labelled as pre-poll rigging.
