Activists of Muslim Students Federation (MSF) on Monday staged a rally to show solidarity with Kashmiri, demanding for resolve of the core issue of Kashmir accordance with UN resolutions. The rally was held in connection with the 'Kashmir Day' being observed every year on February 5, across the country.
Holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Kashmiri people, they rallied from government college Chowk to Peshawar Press Club. Led by MSF Government College Peshawar President Faizan Haider, Usman Alam and Zeshan Ali, they asked Indian government to stop killings of Kashmiri people.
They expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of standing committee on Kashmir and called upon government to abolish the committee forthwith, and said Kashmiris were being killed by Indian forces, but unfortunately, human rights organisations were playing their role as silent spectators which they said was condemnable. They said Kashmir was part of Pakistan and it would be part of Pakistan and asked human rights organisations to take note of the killings of innocent Kashmiris. Later they dispersed peacefully.
