MoP asked to conduct inquiry

A parliamentary body on Wednesday directed the high-ups of the Ministry of Petroleum to conduct an inquiry into the alleged violation of provincial quota regarding promotions/recruitments in Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and submit a report before the panel within a month.
During the meeting, Managing Director (MD) Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Naeem Yahya Mir said that before 2007 all promotions in PSO were made on a sole criterion of seniority. The meeting of the sub-committee of the Senate special committee held here with Senator Zahid Khan in the chair to get briefing on appointments, promotions and transfers in the PSO.
