Sindh University (SU) vice chancellor Professor Dr Nazir A Mughal on Wednesday chaired a meeting of university officials in which decisions were taken to hire private security guards for making the university's environment more peaceful and start work on employees' housing society phase-3.
The meeting was held at the vice chancellor house which was attended by Professor Dr Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed, Dr Imdad Ali Ismaeli, Registrar Mohammad Nawaz Narejo, Professor Mohammad Yousuf Pardesi, Professor Dr Naem Tariq Narejo, Dr Sarfraz Solangi, Mohammad Ali Roshan Pathan, Director Estate Usman Mangi and other officials.
The meeting also decided to hire private security guards to make certain the peaceful edifying environment on the campus. In this regard, the security companies would be contacted to provide the services of private guards. Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed about the convocation which is likely to be held on February 23, 2013.
The vice chancellor Dr Nazir A Mughal was proposed the newly prepared auditorium hall situated at Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto research chair and convention centre (MBBRC&CC) for the academic convocation of the varsity. He on the occasion accepted the proposal and constituted another committee to review the auditorium hall and to report him as soon as possible.
The meeting discussed on the issue of housing society and later constituted a 10-member management committee to initiate the process, finalisation of land, sizes of plots and development charges; it has been asked to start work so that its final findings should be presented before the syndicate.
