Dr Tilo Klinner, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi, on Wednesday visited the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE). During the visit, he told media persons that his government was trying to motivate German entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan but it all depended upon news reports originating from Pakistan. He said that Germany was closely monitoring political developments in Pakistan as well as the potential outcome of the upcoming elections.
According to him, the trade conference of Pakistan-German Business Forum, which was scheduled to be held in June this year, had been postponed because of the situation in Pakistan. He said that new date for holding the conference would be announced soon. Dr Tilo Klinner expressed the hope that political and economical stability would return to Pakistan after the upcoming elections. Commenting on the visit of German Hockey team, Dr Tilo Klinner said that he would try to manage the visit of the German team to Pakistan. Earlier, the Consul General rang the bell and opened the KSE trading session.
