Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has said the party's Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is in Qatar as he is invited to the US-Taliban talks. Various reports say the United States was holding talks with the Taliban to persuade the militant group to sit at the negotiating table with the Afghan government.
The JUI-F leader was addressing a condolence reference held for Jamaat-e-Islam's late Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed. Hafiz advised the government to also accept the Taliban's talks offer as soon as possible.
