At least four persons, including a seminary student, were killed in separate incidents of violence in various localities of the Sindh metropolis on Saturday. Unidentified armed riders shot and killed Syed Qamar Raza Naqvi, 30, after a heated debate near Golimar No1 in the limits of Rizvia police station.
DSP Rustum Khattak said the deceased, who lived in same area, was shot once on the head. He said the murder of the victim, who had no political affiliation, might have motivated by sectarianism. Police claimed finding the body of a man who was shot dead near the T-Ground located in Block 15 of the Federal B Area in Jauharabad police precincts.
Police said the deceased lived in Azizabad and had been missing since Friday when he left his house for the Maressah at Masjid-e-Ghousia. Police said the man might have been killed over a suspicion of being an informant, adding that they had found a slip of paper which mentioned the same reason behind his murder. He was learning Quran by heart and had completed 26 Parahs of the Holy Quran. Syed Abid, son of Syed Abbas, lost his life in a drive-by shooting in Ramswami in the limits of Aram Bagh police station.
