The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) launched 3rd edition of "Made in Pakistan" single country exhibition to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in May 2013 here on Monday. SAARC CCI Vice President, Iftikhar Ali Malik presided the ceremony and Presidents and representatives of Gujrat Chamber, Gujranwala Chamber, Sialkot Chamber, Shaikhupura and Jhelum chamber and members of business community also attended the ceremony.
In their address of welcome Chairman RCCI Fairs & Exhibitions Committee Chaudhry Abdul Rauf, RCCI President Manzar Khurshid Shaikh and convenor Fair & Exhibition Committee Khurshid Barlas said that RCCI successfully achieved its target of 10 single country exhibitions in SAARC countries during 2012.
They said RCCI strongly believes that besides government functionaries, chambers can play a significant role in the promotion of trade and commerce across the boundaries and holding single country exhibition is one of the efficient means which can be used to enhance the bilateral trade. They said RCCI is planning to organise a SAARC exhibition in Central Asian States and European countries as well to promote SAARC as a region, besides exploring greater potential of Pakistani products in Europe, Africa and Central Asian states as well.
