Two former members of the Punjab Assembly along with former Nazims from district Sahilwal have announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Q reposing full confidence in the leadership of Q-League. They announced their decision in a meeting with PML-Q senior leader and Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his Gulberg residence here on Monday.
Those who announced to join the PML-Q include former candidate from PP-222 Malik Muhammad Aslam Dhakko, PP-225's Mian Javed Suhail Rahmani, former Nazims Meraj Khan Khetran, Rana Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Zahur Khan, Malik Muhammad Altaf, Muhammad Abbas Khan Baloch and Khalid Nawaz Lambardar among others.
Welcoming them in the fold of the PML-Q, Elahi said that our party's main objective is to provide services to the poor and added that the common man had benefited the most from plans and programmes made by us in Punjab. Moreover, a delegation of Lahore Bar Association, headed by Vice President Irfan Basra, called on PML-Q President Senator Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence.
