Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Mohammad Pervaiz Malik on Monday held an open court here at Minar-e-Pakistan in a bid to help resolve problems of people. Accompanied by another PML-N leader Mian Tariq and officers of different department including police officers, the PML-N leader listened to people's problems and issued orders for redressal of public grievances. Most of the public grievances were against the police.
The PML-N leader expressed optimism that the people would repose their full confidence in PML-N in upcoming elections, as "we believe in public service and Metro bus project is proof to this fact and the challenges facing the country are the result of government policies."
In a rejoinder to Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira remarks against the Punjab government, Malik said that Kaira has lost the senses in the opposition of PML-N and now he is criticising the public-friendly projects due to his narrow-mindedness. He said that Kaira is worrying that why such a marvellous people welfare oriented project was completed under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in a short period transparently. He said that those blaming Punjab regarding corruption should peep into their conscience as they have written the history of corruption under the patronage of President Zardari.
