The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday extended pre-arrest interim bail of former federal minister, Ghulam Sarwar, to February 20, in fake degree case registered by Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE).
The petitioner through his counsel argued that the case registered by the ACE was political victimisation. The counsel requested the court to confirm the interim bail earlier granted to his client. Prosecutor General Punjab Sadaqat Ali Khan opposed the petition and argued that the crime committed by the former minister had been established. He said the accused was not eligible for the concession of bail. The ACE alleged that Ghulam Sarwar had obtained a fake degree of F.A to appear in B.A.
