Tehreek Tehffuz-e-Pakistan (TTP) Head Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan met PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence on Wednesday to condole with him over sad demise of his brother Mian Abbas Sharif. Dr Khan remained there for some time and also offered "Fateha" for the eternal peace of departed soul. PML-N leaders Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Tariq Azeem and others were also present on the occasion.
Sources claimed that during the meeting, views were also exchanged over current political and economic situation in the country besides matters pertaining to upcoming general elections. The sources said Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan stressed for a greater alliance of the right-wing political forces before the general polls. Dr Khan requested the PML-N chief that all right-wing patriotic forces should get united ahead of elections.
Moreover, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting of his party leaders in which various issues including seat adjustment with opposition parties and election alliance were discussed. Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Syed Ghaus Ali Shah and others participated in the meeting. The meeting also discussed different issues pertaining to formation of caretaker set up. The meeting also discussed caretaker names on provincial levels.
