Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor to provide Rs 380 million for provision of gas to FR Kohat
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has assured provision of Rs 380 million to enable people of FR Kohat to get natural gas. He was talking to representatives of a tribal Jirga from FR Kohat, led by Senator Haji Abdul Razzaq and the Ex-parliamentarian, Haji Noor Sher Afridi called on him at Governor's House, Peshawar on Thursday. Some of the elders from Mohmand and Bajaur agencies were also present on this occasion.
Referring to the points raised by the tribal elders, the Governor said that he also fully realises the aspirations of the people of the Mohmand, Bajaur and South Waziristan agencies, as far as provision of natural gas is concerned, and concrete steps would be taken to help in availing this facility within the shortest possible time. Senator Haji Abdul Razzaq and Haji Noor Sher Afridi and a tribal elder from Momand Agency while talking on behalf of the delegation particularly requested the governor to help in ensuring efficient utilisation of natural resources, useful exploitation of marble deposits and creation of employment opportunities.
Referring to various points raised by the tribal elders, the Governor said, that he was quite aware of their feelings and aspirations and may be only one out of ten thousand people may have been misled and are causing difficulty for the country while all the rest are peace loving people. He also advised the elders to play their due role in ensuring restoration of normalcy and fully focus on educating their children. Ensuring successful working of educational institutions, especially in the health and educational sector, he said, that it was also equally important and they should also play their due role in this respect.
