It was a responsibility of all political forces to curb the way of terrorism and maintain law and order situation so as the people could elect their representatives in a peaceful atmosphere, said provincial chief Jamaate Islami (JI) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former Senator Professor Mohammad Ibrahim.
Addressing the inaugural session of the four-day Election Reporting seminar at a local hotel on Saturday, he said that presently different major political parties including the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) had different opinion on the issue and they would have to create unanimity before elections.
Women Media Centre Pakistan has organised four-day Election Reporting Media training course in collaboration with National Endowment for Democracy, (NED) Washington D.C. USA. The female working journalists, students of mass communication and from various media institutions attended the seminar.
Professor Ibrahim explained the existing geographical and current situation of the KP saying KPK was divided into three parts including settled areas, Southern districts and Hazara division. Malakand division, he said part of tribal areas but provincially administered are was. Similarly there are Frontier Regions besides the Federally Administered Tribal areas.
