No more waiting at restaurants thanks to Google Maps
The latest version of Google Maps has come up with a feature that would make your restaurant experience almost hassle free.
The updated version of the application now shows users average waiting at more than a million eateries around the world. Not only does the restaurant’s information page within the application shows wait time for each hour, it also mentions the time when a person may have to wait the longest for the certain searched restaurant.
This feature could be helpful for those people who make spontaneous plans to dine out. According to Engadget, because of the restaurant reviews and ratings that are available due to the new update, searching for particular restaurants is made more of an intuitive process.

To check a restaurant’s wait time, simply type the restaurant’s name in the search bar. Once the desired eatery’s page opens up, scroll down to find ‘Popular times’ in which the restaurant’s average time could be seen. The user can also swipe through days and hours. At the bottom, user can find reviews and can also rate overall experience after dining out.
The web mapping service gave out an update regarding real-time transit and driving details last month. Improvements for transit directions also came along with Google Map’s latest update. It gives additional information for transit directions.
At present, this feature is available only in selected cities including Hong Kong, New Delhi, Los Angeles, New York, Barcelona, Paris, Taipei, Moscow, Madrid, Singapore, Kiev and Budapest, The Verge reported.
