BEIJING: China passed inspections for its first bonded liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank in its southernmost province Hainan, aiming to help Chinese companies to sell fuel overseas and gain bigger influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The LNG tanker belongs to a subsidiary of China's oil giant CNOOC Ltd with a capacity of 160,000 cubic metres, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
