Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested an alleged member of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. According to SSP Fayaz Khan, a CID team on a tip-off conducted raid in Saachal Goth and Marora Goth located on Super Highway and arrested an alleged member of TTP, Barooz Khan son of Ayub Khan, with a pistol and a hand grenade.
He said the accused, who is associated with TTP, was involved in several heinous crimes including kidnapping, robberies, police encounters and extortion. Further investigation was underway. Meanwhile, two more criminals identified as Khalid Hussain and Ayaz were arrested with weapons from New Karachi Industrial area while one Sabir was injured and detained after an encounter with Saeedabad police.
