The lawyers strike for Lahore High Court bench in the city has entered into ninth consecutive day on Wednesday. Hundreds of lawyers along with members of civil society, traders, journalist community and political organisation staged a protest rally which started from district courts and concluded at commissioner office.
Addressing the protesters, senior lawyers, former president Bar Saleem Akhtar Katchela, Abid Ghaee advocate, Mian Mehboob Ali Sarfraz advocate said the Punjab government was making lame excuses time and again just to please the Punjab Law Minister. They warned that peaceful protest might be turned into violence, if their demand was not fulfilled.
